Mattias Rickhag
Associate Professor at the Department of Neuroscience (Neuropharm and Genetics), and at The Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR). Mattias has a research background in experimental animal models of neurodegenerative diseases. He bridges molecular and system neuroscience with a focus on cortico-basal ganglia (BG) circuit in models of Parkinson’s disease.
His research entails pathway and cell type-specific chemo- and optogenetic manipulations of the basal ganglia circuit to disentangle motor behaviour circuits with a particular focus on cortical neuronal subpopulations.
Anne Norup
Anne Norup is a trained neuropsychologist from the University of Copenhagen. She subsequently trained as a specialist in clinical neuropsychology. Since 2020, Anne has been Head of the Knowledge Centre for Neurorehabilitation, Rigshospitalet. In 2024, Anne was appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Neuroscience, University of Copenhagen.
Morgan Thomsen
Associate professor of addiction research at the Department of Neuroscience (Neuropharm and Genetics), and Senior researcher at Region Hovedstadens Psykiatri. Morgan is interested in understanding the mechanisms underlying addiction disorders and identifying potential targets for medication development. A major focus has been dopamine/cholinergic systems interactions and muscarinic receptors, which he believes have therapeutic potential for a number of psychiatric illnesses. He is also interested in neuropeptide systems and the effects of ketogenic diets and ketone supplements.
