“The role of cardiovascular risk factors for dementia – genomic, biochemical and observational aspects”
Abstract:No cure or efficient disease modifying treatments exist for dementia. Due to aging populations globally leading to steep rises in dementia prevalence, this emerges as one of the most important health crises in modern society. Currently, the impact of cardiovascular risk factors for future development of dementia is increasingly being appreciated, holding promise for early preventive interventions as possible effective strategies. State-of-the art will be presented and discussed.
