“Dopamine: a never-ending story”

Abstract: Although dopamine was identified as a neurotransmitter over 60 years ago, much remains to be discovered about its function. This talk will describe how we have used recent technological advances, such as genetically encoded sensors, machine learning and high-resolution microscopy, to achieve new insights into the complex ways dopamine acts across different timescales and how this might be important for our understanding of dopamine-related diseases.
