Neuroscience Multidisciplinary Journal Club
The Neuroscience Multidisciplinary Journal Club is a monthly event dedicated to discussing influential papers in the field of Neuroscience. These papers are presented by neuroscientists from the Department of Neuroscience at UCPH, typically Early Career Researchers. Throughout the year, papers from various areas of Neuroscience are discussed to encourage interaction and innovative thinking.
The Journal Club provides an opportunity for networking across different research groups within the department. With the aid of pizza, scientific discussions take place in a friendly and stimulating environment. Each month, a presenter from a different research group showcases their expertise, while attendees learn about topics and approaches outside their usual focus.
The Journal Club allows presenters to highlight their expertise within a specific subfield and offers listeners the chance to explore new topics. It fosters scholarly discussion, encouraging reflection on the strengths and weaknesses of the studies and providing insights into the state of the art in various subdisciplines. Additionally, the societal and translational implications of the presented studies are discussed. Contact the organizers to volunteer to present or to provide feedback and ideas for future activities.
