Podcast: The key to better sleep is found during the day
Professor Birgitte Kornum talks about her research in the podcast series “The World Explained” (Verden forsøgt forklaret), a series of conversations held at the UCPH Library.
We spend about one-third of our lives with our eyes closed. At least, that’s how it should be. But in recent decades, our sleep has become increasingly challenged.
What are the short-term implications of disrupted sleep for children, adolescents, and adults? What are the long-term consequences for public health? And is there anything we can do about it individually?
Professor Birgitte Kornum explains in the podcast “The Key to Better Sleep Is Found During the Day” why the key to better sleep lies in what happens during the day: Sleep is just as much about wakefulness, because healthy sleep habits largely depend on how we spend our time when our eyes are open.
The host is journalist Jakob Sorgenfri Kjær, and the episode is in Danish. It was recorded live at the event “Verden forsøgt forklaret” (“The World Explained”), a series of conversations held at the University of Copenhagen Library in Fiolstræde (see all events here).
