Research and Impact

The Laboratory for Membrabe Protein Dynamics focus on structure-function relationships in membrane transport proteins, elucidating the molecular mechanisms that mediate coupling between ion- and substrate binding and the structural changes that govern gate opening/closure. We map binding sites for substrates (dopamine, serotonin, amphetamine) and inhibitory drugs (cocaine, antidepressants).

My research team currently consists of 10 members (faculty member, post doc, PhD students, master students, technician).

Impact: 59 peer reviewed publications, 1 patent application. Including publications in Nature Neuroscience, Nature Communications, eLife, PNAS, JACS (2), Nature Methods, Biological Psychiatry, Chemical Science (2), J. Clinical Investigations, J Neuroscience and J. Biological Chemistry (10)

H-factor: 23, >2100 citations (source: Scopus)
